Cancellation #2

It's almost enough to make me laugh...About 10-13 follies today. They were right on the cusp so my RE wasn't sure if I should trigger tomorrow or Saturday. So, she recruited the other RE to discuss. Long story short a discussion was had about cancelling this cycle and trying a new protocol (no more l.upron or b.cp). Apparently I have lots of follies but they just aren't recruiting. I guess this can be an issue for some people on the long protocol. So, after discovering that insurance will cover the meds (hallelujah), I talked a bit more with my RE and decided to put the brakes on and try this again. She doesn't think we'll do worse and obviously hopes that we will do better. So, once again I'm almost there....and then we stop. I have to go through one tracked natural cycle which will happen next month. The next step and stims are a bit more foggy. Mr. F is going out of town in October and it's looking like his vacation may correspond exactly with when the RE would need him to be here. So, we may be looking at November. We will see how it all plays out. Disappointed but not as much as last time. I want this to be the best possible stim as it may be our only.

  2. Oh, how completely frustrating. I absolutely know how you feel. Hopefully the new protocol will work better next time around. Like you said...a least there's some time without restrictions to try to enjoy the end of summer. Hang in there!

  3. I'm sorry this cycle did not work out, but you sound very positive about the next go-round. It sucks that there is so much waiting in fertility treatments. I wish I could hit the fast-forward button for you and me both!

  4. I am very sorry that you had to cancel. How frustrating... I am very sorry that you have to go through all of this. Hughhhh.... makes me so angry. I really hope that it will work out soon :) I think of you often and I know how you feel. I found out when I was pregnant this past June that friends of ours were pregnant, again, with their 3rd child, not even trying.... a surprise, and were worried about finances. Wow, and you know how my pregnancy ended and you have to go through all this! It makes me so sad..... Please don't get me wrong, I am happy for my friends but BT is unfair! Hang in there.... it will happen someday ;-)

  7. Canceling a cycle is so frustrating, especially after you have been on the stims. I am glad the meds are covered, that is a huge chunk of change you will be saving! Hang in there, your next group of follies will be the ones!

  9. That stinks! I have never understood why they use BCP anyway. They always mess with my hormones so bad. Hang in there girl : )

  11. This sucks! :( I hope that they are right and that you are just being over suppressed. It is probably a good idea to quit now and start fresh. I have everything crossed that the third time is the charm!!!
