Happy ICLW!

It snuck up on me this month. Welcome to all of you from ICLW. My ttc history is on the left. It's not a very pretty story. We will be heading towards ivf/cgh this July after several unsuccessful IUIs. This month it's officially been one year since my last miscarriage---and I've not had one confirmed pregnancy since then. So, next week I will be having a hysteroscopy to make sure there's not something that's causing any problems. If anyone has any advice/stories to share about the procedure, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Other than that, I've been married for almost 9 years. We have two dogs that are our children. I love reading, soccer, and running--though I need to do more of the last two to burn off all this unable to have a child related weight game. Looking forward to meeting more of you.

  1. Visiting from ICLW as a fellow RPL veteran (#111). I haven't had a hysteroscopy so I can't share any words of wisdom. My hubby of 10 years and I will be going to a post-miscarriage appointment with our RE tomorrow. Great way to spend a Friday afternoon, huh? I hope you get some answers from the procedure next week!

  2. Hello! I'm stopping by for ICLW week to say hello! I had a sonohysteroscopy done (the one where they use ultrasound and saline rather than X-ray) so I'm not sure that helps you. In my case though it wasn't painful at all. Wishing you all the best, Fran

  3. Stopping by from ICLW. Just wanted to wish you well on your hysterscopy! I've had an HSG and SHG done, but I believe that's a little different than what you're having. Best of luck to you!

  4. Stopping in from ICLW. Good luck with everything, I've had tow HSG's done in the last year, they weren't the most pleasant, but at least I learned my tubes were clear. Hope everything is ok with you...

  5. Hiya, here from ICLW of course. Sorry its hitting 12mths since the mc. I will be the same in July this year. The EDD was hard enough, and Ive let go, but another 12mths of being barron scares me. Here hoping we can crack it and move on together. I hope everything is ok with you, but I know I always wanted them to find 1 thing wrong that could be fixed. Yeah pop a pill and Im cured?! Yeah right! Being unexplained sux arse, if you are not broke, they cannot fix you, but we go broke being tested when nothing is wrong! Vicious cycle.

    ICLW Hugs to you..

  6. Visiting from ICLW and also wishing you a happy Easter. You have quite the history of miscarriages and have done a lot of IUI's. I am currently in the 2ww of my first and have already lost faith in the procedure.

I have not had a hysteroscopy but wish I could give some advice. I hope everything goes well!

  8. Hi! Stopping by for ICLW. I've had a HSG and an Saline-Infused Sonography. In the SIS, the doc found scar tissue, possible Asherman's Syndrome, and recommends that I have a Hysteroscopy. Mine is scheduled for May 10th. Sorry I can't give you advice on that since I haven't had it yet. I hope all goes well for you next week. I'll let you know how mine goes.

We also have two dogs that are our children, and they make our life so much brighter. Hope we'll be able to add a human child to the mix one day.

    Happy Easter and Good luck!

  9. Good luck with the hysteroscopy. I had one to remove a septum in my uterus and for me it was really no big deal. There wasn't a lot of pain and I was off the couch after a couple hours because my hubby's father got sick and we had to leave town. I hope yours is just as painless and that your iVF cycle works. Hang in there!

  10. Happy ICLW to you too! No advice for the hysteroscopy (or dare I say "just relax"...?) Good luck with that and with the upcoming IVF.

  12. Hi! I also had three unsuccessful IUI's and one very successful IVF... 5 months pregnant with twin boys! We had a fertilization problem, which is why the IUI's didn't work. Good luck on your upcoming IVF!!

    Happy ICLW!!
