One Good Embryo

That's the news I was greeted with at the REs office. One is better then none...but still disappointing when starting with so many. The CGH results were interesting. Only four of my embryos carried an unbalanced translocation. The others had various problems with other chromosomes. One thing we did learn is that my eggs are jacked. If this doesn't work we aren't going to do another cycle with my eggs. We will be moving straight to donor egg.
The embryo we transferred is of very high quality (exactly what it's graded I'm not sure). I was only told that it's an early stage blastocyst and that it looks beautiful. It's a girl. My first beta is on Tuesday.

  7. I have been thinking of you. Like I had said in my previous comment, the ONE has to be in there! I really hope that this is the ONE! It sounds like it could be :) I surely hope so.

I just wanted to share a story with you that will hopefully give you hope. Someone I know had to do IVF because she had lost a baby at 21 weeks due to uterus problems (don't remember exactly what) but she was not conceiving on her own at all after that. Anyhow.... she had less retrieved eggs than you but ended up with three good ones at the end (well, she did not get testing done on embryos since no problem with her eggs), so I guess three good ones to transfer. Because of the uterus problem, doctor only wanted to transfer one. Well, that one took and is now a beautiful one year old baby girl!
Like her, I really wish that this is your baby to take home!!! Crossing my fingers and sending good vibes your way! Relax, enjoy your Thanksgiving! You have gone through so much, you deserve this little miracle!
    Grow little embryo! :)

  15. It's so awesome that they can tell if there is a chromosomal abnormality already and the gender. I have never done IVF, just IUIs, so I didn't know the details. Good luck girl, I will say a prayer 4 u!
