6dp5dt

And a glaringly white bfn this morning. I've never  had a bfp later then this, so I'm fairly certain this cycle was a bust. Disappointing but not really surprising. Especially considering the quality of the rest of my eggs. Beta won't be until Sunday now as I'm going out of town and my clinic doesn't want me to go to another lab. So, I get to continue injecting myself with PIO shots even though all I'm seeing is - poas tests. So, that's really quite annoying.
Mr. F and I have been talking a bit about next steps. At this point we're both fairly comfortable saying my eggs are out of the picture--unless our RE has some new information for us. So, we're trying to decide between donor eggs and donor embryos.  Neither of these will likely happen for another year as we're making a huge move at the end of the summer and we want to settle into our new home and jobs first. I've been doing a lot of research on cost, guarantees, etc. and there is an overwhelming amount of information. I had thought for sure that Mr. F would want to pursue donor egg first. However, after talking to him more about costs, second children, etc. he seems to be leaning towards donor embryo. If anyone readers have done either or researched either, I would appreciate your advice and comments. Thanks again for all your support.

  1. I'm so sorry this cycle didn't work :( I wish you the best of luck, whether you pursue donor eggs or embryos.

  2. So sorry - I was hoping for you. I haven't done research on either, but I know that the success rates are quite good. Good luck!

  3. Maybe I am confused but 6dp5dt is equivalant to 11DPO, right? That seems very early to test. It ain't over till the beta though.

  4. I'm really sorry. I think you still have a chance but I know the feeling when you just KNOW it's over and it sucks.

Wishing you all the best when it comes to next steps.

Big hugs from one BTer to another.

  5. I'm sorry for the BFN today... hoping you are surprised this weekend, but I definitely understand the feelings you are having. Let me say, once I did move on to donor eggs (or donor embyros if that is your choice), after some grieving, I did feel a HUGE sense of relief and amazing hope. Sending you hugs and support...

  6. I am so very sorry. I agree with other posters that you might still have a chance - I had an 6dp5d(frozen)t negative test for the baby currently sacked out on my lap snoring... but I wish you the best of luck in planning out the next steps, even as I still hope a little bit that you mightn't have to take them.

As for DEgg vs Embryo, I've only researched embryo donation, because there's a possibility we might end up on the donating side in a few years. I know it really depends on where you get the embryos and success rates vary widely depending on whether they were vitrified or not, as well as the freezing criteria for the clinic (because the frozen embryos leftover are often the least good ones from the cycle that made it to freeze). If your clinic has an in-house donation program, I would ask them about their specifics first, since that seems like the cheapest and most hassle-free option. I also don't know if you are religious - we are not - but I noticed a lot of the private embryo adoption agencies had a pretty strong religious vibe either in the organization itself or in the people using them.

  7. Thirtiesgirl... it might still be too early for a pregnancy test. Don't give up hope yet, we never know.
I am very sorry that you are feeling down. Wait for your Beta. I am crossing my fingers and I am thinking about you. You can always private message me if you need to talk. I so understand the feeling of staring at a white bfn. Just took a test this weekend as well as I was a few days late, but bfn.
    Good Luck :)

  8. I am so sorry for that negative. I would keep testing until your beta. You never know you could see that second line. I am still hoping for the best of you in whatever you may decide. Hang in there.

  9. Oh poo, thats shitty. I realised today, at the swimming pool, that I was wondering how you were getting on (then I wondered at myself wondering about a person I have never met) in the 2ww.

Hoping you don't have to take these donation steps as the beta will tell you what you're not expecting to hear (in a good way, of course) and of course I have no advice, but I wanted you to know I was thinking of you and sending bestest wishes

  10. I'm so sorry for your BFN :(

I wish we didn't all have to suffer like this. Donor eggs/embryos may be in my future too. I wish you the best with all of your upcoming decisions.

  11. Absolute UGH. I am so, so sorry. Hoping things turn around in the next day or so, but I know how you must be feeling and I wish it weren't that way. Hang in there.
